The Brandy School for Physicians In response to inquiries from clinical practitioners from a wide range of medical and surgical backgrounds, Dominic A. Brandy, MD has established The Brandy School of Surgical Hair Restoration.
The school is designed to provide interested practitioners with the didactic knowledge and surgical skills necessary for incorporating hair restoration techniques into their everyday clinical practice. The training offered at The Brandy School,  however, is not a substitute for board certification by the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery.
The Brandy System for Surgical Hair Restoration consists of exclusive techniques which were developed and refined by Dr. Brandy, and chronicled in more than 60 published medical articles and eight surgical textbooks.
Taught exclusively at The Brandy School, The Brandy System demonstrates how to apply the art of aesthetics with the correct combination of surgical approaches, resulting in the creation of a clearly visible, natural-looking hairline of healthy, growing hair.
Surgical Program Format The Brandy School curriculum is based upon a preceptorship concept in conjunction with an academic series of didactic presentations. The vast majority of educational material is provided at the bedside in conjunction with actual hands-on experience under the direct supervision of Dr. Brandy.
Enrollment sessions are five days. The first four days include a combination of didactic and surgical instruction. The final day is devoted to the essentials of patient evaluation and practice integration. This format allows the physician to learn diagnostic procedure, preoperative planning, surgical techniques and postoperative expectation.
In addition, each physician enrolled in The Brandy School is permitted to bring one assistant. The program's instruction format allows for the enrollment of only one physician/assistant term per weekly session. This enables the faculty to tailor the instruction to each physician's clinical background.
